Name The New Bot(s)! Here are the winners

In mid July I Iaunched the “Name The New Bot Contest”, asking you fine Bot fans to suggest a new bot to join the Bot Army. The response was amazing, over 100 suggestion (138 to be exact) were submitted here and on Facebook. Deciding on a winner was impossible, so I changed the rules (I can do that) and picked 8 winners!! What the hell, I’m the boss!

Congratulations winners! Each winner will be sent 10 of their suggested Bots as a thank you and be credited on the packaging of the new bots when they are produced. Thank you to all that submitted your wonderful ideas!

If you would like to be notified when these and other new Bots will be available to the public, sign up for “Bots in your in box” (to the right of this post) and “like” the Botjoy Facebook page (also to the right of this post).

Win 20 Bots! The very first “Name The New Bot” Contest

Here is your chance to alter the course of Bot History! I have a long list of new Bot ideas and am ready to launch a new Bot to the world, but as I was scanning my list I thought “wait there are far more creative, smarter and better looking people out there, why not ask them?”

Really any idea could make a great Bot, but here are some success criteria:1) It helps the person that owns it (Brave Bot helps you find courage, etc.). 2) It can have a bit of a universal appeal (Love Bot vs. Dryer Lint Bot). 3) There is a visual icon or representation that can be incorporated into the Bot image (Time Bot has a clock on it’s front) 4) Lastly I have to be excited about the idea (subjective I know, but I have to make hundreds of them and I get distracted easily….look shiny pretty thing….) So here is how you play…

Name The New Bot Contest!

1. What Do You Win? A set of 20 the chosen Bot (hand-painted, one -of-a-kind) sent to you so you can horde them all or show off your generosity by giving to your friends!

2. How to play: Go to the Botjoy face book pagehttps://www.facebook.com/Botjoy Hit the “like” button (yeah I know…) and submit your Bot suggestion by simply leaving it as a comment on the page (the first comment box on the wall that says “write something”). Please write Name the new Bot contest suggestion: and then add your suggestion.

3. How to win: On August 15th I will pick the winner. It will be a subjective gut check that fits the criteria listed above. The winner will be posted on the Botjoy face book page on August 15th and here on the Botjoy Blog. I will notify the winner directly as well. Between now and August 15th I will occasionally post some accumulative  submissions. Lastly if I use your Bot name suggestion in the future I will let you know and send you 10 free Bots as a thank you. It’s called user generated content people, get hip! I think that’s it, have fun, can’t wait to see what you got!
