Over the past few years The Bots have inspired more Bots (Bot fans “getting their own Bot on”, as my 18 year old would say). It is fantastic to see the excitement and focus when people put a brain full of creativity on a tiny domino! Here are few of my favorites:
Girl Scouts in Ely MN. make a set for their Winter Festival Art Walk
Bot making with P&G designers in Singapore
From Sandy F. in Vancouver B.C. “I gave my bot to my 5 year old son, (he needs bravery as he is learning to ride a bike) and he loves his bot. In fact, he made me one out of cardboard so I can be brave too. Please don’t sue for patent infringement!”
We just finished the first 2 Bot panels (out of three ) for the new Emanuel Children’s Hospital here in Portland. The amazing Scott Grice helped create a super cool and easy framing system. There will be 990 Bots total Bots once the piece is completed. Here are some shots of the first 660.
The gift bag organizers at The Emmys just sent me this photo of Jason Isaacs gathering joy from 9 Joy Bots.
Jason is best known for his performance as the villain Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films. You can also see him in The Patriot and he plays Michael Caffee in Brotherhood. Thanks for the Love Jason!
Each Bot is a hand painted, signed and numbered, one-of-a-kind art object. Bots are
programmed to you give you outrageous compliments, help you be brave, take all of the blame, even clone you so you could get more done. You can carry one around or display thousands on your wall. They are fun and joyful and we want to get as many out into the world as possible.
